I begin my Steam list playthrough with Reus. It’s currently one of my favourite games – it’s a thoroughly cosy and enjoyable god game. A big plus is also that the game sessions are timed, so if you just want to play for half an hour before going to bed (to take an example), you just pick a thirty minute game and still get a “full” gaming session.
Reus is a low tempo game where you build a rich environment on your planet so that your cities can grow big. In order to do this you have four different giants that can create forests, oceans, mountains, swamps, animals, plants and minerals. The ambient music is atmospheric and there is something very relaxing watching the giants working on your world.
Developer is Abbey Games and the price on Steam is 9,99€. Well worth your money if you, like me, enjoy calm god games.
